Red Deer Mountain is located West of Buena Vista, Colorado. Though there isn't a well worn trail to the top it is a good hike with a nice view of the Arkansas River Valley. Winter at Red Deer Mountain brings with it a lot of its' namesake, mule deer, as they come down to find food.
