Jon painted this from photos he took on a fall trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. This view is next to the Alluvial Fan in the Horseshoe Park area. Fall in the Rockies can produce some dramatic scenery with the Aspen leaves contrasting beautifully with the darks of the evergreen trees.
